The Witch. Revenge

“Enemy will get all the things she said.”

Olena (Tetiana Malkova) returns to her village in war-torn Ukraine carrying grief so thick it bends the air around her. The locals whisper that she has become a witch, a woman whose touch brings sickness and whose presence splits the world between what was and what can never be again. Kolesnyk shoots the village in muted grays and browns, letting the camera linger on faces too exhausted to hide what they have lost.
