Three Cases of Murder
Lord Mountdrago (Orson Welles) is a powerful statesman who finds his dreams have been seized by Owen (Alan Badel), a disgraced politician out for revenge. The film is three tales, with Eamonn Andrews introducing each: a museum attendant drawn into a painting, and two lifelong friends suspected when the woman they both love is killed. Eady and O'Ferrall let Badel turn up in all three, and Mountdrago, sleepless and proud, has the most to lose.
