We Were Children

In Naples in the 1980s, a group of boys runs through the streets together, pulling off small thefts and dodging the police. Years later, Walter (Lorenzo Richelmy) returns to the neighborhood and finds his old friends scattered: Gianluca (Alessio Lapice) is tangled in crime, Margherita (Lucrezia Guidone) has moved on, and the rest are ghosts of who they were. What holds them together is not loyalty but the weight of having once been young enough to move as one.
