Whiteout

“Freedom is the enemy.”

Three men emerge from a Russian labor camp into an Arctic landscape of white and wind, with only the brutal terrain and each other between them and home. Henry (James McDougall), Kurt (Douglas Nyback), and Anthony (Joel Labelle) move through the wilderness, hunger and cold pressing down, their trust fraying with each mile. Derek Barnes shoots the blankness as a closing door, leaving the men smaller with every frame.
