Winter Crossing

Marie (Florence Loiret Caille), in her forties and isolated in the Hautes-Alpes, smuggles cigarettes across the Italian border with help from her lover Alex (Jonathan Couzinié), a border policeman. When she encounters Souleymane (Saabo Balde), a young Sudanese migrant searching for his sister, he recognizes what she does and asks her to bring people across instead. She agrees, but each crossing risks exposing the life she has built and erasing any chance of escape.
