Hans Mikael Ekman, born May 10, 1943 in Gustav Vasa parish in Stockholm, is a Swedish director. He is the son of Hasse Ekman and Agneta Wrangel and brother to Gösta Ekman. Before he started directing, Mikael Ekman was a prompter, director's assistant, editor, production manager and film producer.
