Tótem

Seven-year-old Sol (Naíma Sentíes) spends a day at her grandfather's busy house in Mexico, where her mother and aunts are getting ready for a birthday party for her father, Tona. Lila Avilés keeps the film at a child's height, among the preparations and the relatives crowding every room. As evening comes, Sol starts to see why this year's celebration feels different, and she watches the grown-ups around her see it too.
