César Augusto Acevedo (Cali, Valle del Cauca, Colombia, 1987) is a screenwriter and film director from Cali, who won an award at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival for his film La tierra y la sombra. He also graduated with honors from the School of Social Communication at the Universidad del Valle with the script for the same film. He has made two short films: Los Pasos del Agua and La Campana, the latter winner of the Colombian Film Development Fund.
